So let‘s talk feet….

It’s true to say, the human foot is one of the most neglected parts of our bodies,  but are essential for enabling our physical activity, supporting our overall health and protecting our independence, particularly as we age.

As we carry our entire weight on them everyday, they are prone to the physical forces of stress and strain, causing issues related to everyday wear/tear and injury.

Regular and preventative foot care can help you avoid common issues such as  bunions, corns, and ingrowing toe nails, preventing them from becoming severe or debilitating.

Regular visits to a foot health practitioner can be an integral part of maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.

We offer a comprehensive range of foot care treatments

Toe Nail Trimming

Hard Skin / Cracked Heels

Toe Nail Trimming

Toenails need taking care of regularly. If you are unable to cut your own toenails, ask for help and get them trimmed professionally to avoid problems with hygiene and such things as thick nails.

Corn Removal

Hard Skin / Cracked Heels

Toe Nail Trimming

Corns are small cone-shaped areas of hard skin caused by repeated pressure and friction to the skin. They can be very painful, especially when walking or running. The corn is removed, rather than softened or filed, which causes immediate relief from pain and discomfort.

Hard Skin / Cracked Heels

Hard Skin / Cracked Heels

Hard skin, especially on the heels, can become very painful, cracking and bleeding if left untreated. Treatments include removing the hard or calluses skin in order to expose the fresh, healthy skin underneath, and moisturising the area.

Fungal Nail Treatment

Fungal Nail Treatment

Hard Skin / Cracked Heels

Fungal nails are infectious and need to be treated. This kind of infection can cause discolouration to the nail and lead to thickening, as well as crumbling edges. If left untreated, a fungal nail infection will become increasingly more difficult to treat. Please ask for advice and help if you are concerned about fungal nail infection.

Athlete’s Foot

Fungal Nail Treatment

Verruca Treatment

Athlete’s foot is a contagious fungal infection causing breaks in the skin and inflammation where the skin begins to flake away. Please ask for advice about the treatment of Athlete’s foot.

Verruca Treatment

Verruca Treatment

Verruca are type or warts on the foot caused by a viral infection called Human Papilloma Virus. They are also contagious. A verruca can heal by itself. However, if it causes pain and is persistent, there are treatments available for managing and eliminating the verruca.

Ingrowing Toe Nail

Ingrowing Toe Nail

Ingrowing Toe Nail

Ingrowing toenails are caused by pressure to the nail, causing it to dig into the sulcus, or soft tissue at the sides of the nail. It can be caused by tight footwear, incorrect nail cutting, stubbing the toes, and other factors affecting the way you walk. Treatments include the removal of nail ‘spikes’ that press into the skin.
